October 28 & 29; Enjoy frightful and delightful activities for the whole family during the weekend before Halloween! Brought to you in part by Calgary's Child Magazine!

Toy Mash-Up: Back by popular demand, create your very own toy mash-up by combining and sewing old toys together to design a new one! All day, every day during Monster Mash-Up weekend!

Mysterious Animal of the Night: Join the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and meet their friendly resident skunk, Oliver, a porcupine named Quillimena, and Ophelia, their and great horned owl. These informative and up-close presentations will give you the knowledge behind these mysterious and often misunderstood animals! 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the Inspiration Stage

Dancing in Fog: Listen for the music to rise in the atrium and come down and dance in a dry-ice powered fog! Happening multiple times per day, so keep your ears open for the music.

Costume Repair Station: Are you having a costume malfunction? Whether your costume has teeth, tails, frills or chills, one of our staff can help you develop the skills to get your costume back up and running with our supply of safety pins, sewing supplies and hot glue. All day, every day during Monster Mash-Up weekend!

Professional ballet dancer Nicole Caron, the "Sugar Plum Fairy" in Alberta Ballet's annual presentation of the holiday classic "The Nutcracker" for over 10 years, will introduce your child to the magic of dance like no one else can. No experience is necessary for this fun, family-friendly event where the School of Alberta Ballet dance studio will be magically transformed into a winter wonderland full of amazement and delight. All senses will be tickled as your child learns and hears the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from the real fairy, with music performed by a live accompaniment. Hailed by Gramophone magazine as "one of the finest among the astonishing gallery of young virtuoso cellists," German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser has performed with the world’s leading orchestras. He is becoming renown for his efforts to expand the reach of the classical genre and new music. Andrei Korobeinikov gave his first professional solo recital at the age of eight at the Great Hall of the Baku State Academy of Music in Azerbaijan. Since then, he has performed in more than 45 countries and won countless prizes. Andrei is a soloist, but also adores performing chamber music recitals with fellow artists.
