July and August summer camps for budding young filmmakers! Participants will spend five days learning the basics of movie-making through collaborative and hands-on workshops where they will get to write, direct, shoot, and edit a film. Upon completion, their film will be premiered at a public gala screening at CSIF.
If your tw/een is in Grades 7 to 9 and is passionate about the environment, zoology, and natural history, we’ve got exciting opportunities for them to explore animal behavior and wildlife conservation. We offer weeklong camp programs that will get them learning about zoo keeping, animal husbandry, veterinary science, environmental education, conservation, and biology all in the best classroom ever: the zoo!
Camp Cadicasu is a traditional co-ed overnight camp in Kananaskis Country. We have three specialty camps available just for tweens and teens in addition to a Leader-in-Training program. Camp is the perfect place to meet new friends, learn leadership skills, and have exciting adventures in the woods. We create a safe space to unplug from modern society and reconnect with nature.
A local, volunteer-based charity providing low-income youths the opportunity to experience sponsored outdoor camps in the best possible learning environment so they can cast their dreams! Learn conservation, fishing, survival skills, and Canadian history. Transportation provided by camp charter bus only. If you know a youth living in low income who could benefit from a fishing camp experience, please have them contact us. Volunteer opportunities also available.
Our weekly summer camp is six days/five nights off the shores of Beaver Mines Lake, looking up to Table Mountain. Send your child to camp for as little as $500 with group rates and early-bird pricing where they’ll experience outdoor skills like canoeing, hiking, climbing, tomahawk throwing, and ziplining! Camp Kasota West, located on the shores of Sylvan Lake, is a residential camp for children and youth. Trained counselors provide programming including archery, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, crafts, campfires, discovery hour. Specialty programs: Sailing and Counselors-in-Training. Adventures in Science Day Camp is for ages 11 to 14 and takes place July 16 to August 10. Explore technology through history! Discover more about the world around you by looking at how things were done in the past. Home on the Range is an overnight camp for ages 11 to 14 and takes place July 2 to August 24. This program will let young pioneers experience the Park from sunup to sundown for five days.

MRU Kids has been offering high-quality summer camps at Mount Royal University for children (ages 5 to 8) and youth (ages 9 to 14) since 1990. Our programs include sports, science, technology, arts, music, and field trips along with free before- and after-camp care. Our campers enjoy daily swimming, an optional lunch program, outdoor activities, and lots of fun!
The Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) program began in 1993 and is Youth Central’s largest program. The purpose of YVC is to provide meaningful team-based volunteer opportunities to young people between the ages of 12 and 18 in partnership with over 120 community agencies and events.
