Takes place November 19 to January 2 (excluding November 23, 28 & 30 and December 3, 25 & 31). ZOOLIGHTS, presented by Olympia Trust Company, is back for its 25th year! This year's ZOOLIGHTS will feature exciting new themed areas and activities including a 25th anniversary Memory Lane, the Nutcracker in the ENMAX Conservatory, and an all-new “Tunnel of Light,” a tribute to Canada’s wetland, a holiday Zoo Market, and a very special “Dinos at Night” experience like you have never seen before! Of course, the Zoo is bringing back all the classic activities everyone has come to love like the Skating Rink, Fire pits, and Rival Axe Throwing. ZOOLIGHTS comes to life at night with twinkling lights at every turn, including over 200 light figurines, along with interactive and choreographed light displays. The lights are turned on at 5pm nightly and run until 9pm. It takes approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours to experience all that ZOOLIGHTS has to offer - but you are able to stay for as little or as long as you like!

A festival where artists create temporary site-specific installations in downtown Okotoks. This art festival sees artists repurpose and animate forgotten places with ‘forgotten’ materials, bringing public art to forgotten corners of downtown Okotoks. Individual artists and teams use recycled products to create installations that raise environmental awareness, animate spaces, and entertain audiences.

BUMP self-guided mural tours are a perfect way to explore the murals and experience new works of art as they are being created right before your eyes. New tours will be released throughout the month of August. The Beltline Urban Mural Project (BUMP) is a program that funds and installs art on buildings in the Beltline.

Every August during Alberta Local Food Week, Alberta on the Plate hosts a ten-day, province-wide dine around festival. For those ten days, participating restaurants offer multi-course, fixed-price menus highlighting local producers, growers, distillers and brewers. Show your support of Alberta food by dining in or ordering out at our participating restaurants both during the festival and throughout the rest of the year.

GlobalFest @ Elliston is an annual celebration of Calgary’s multi-cultural communities, featuring pavilions, performances, international food, children's programming and fireworks. Illuminating the sky with a colliding orchestra of light and sound, the 2022 event will showcase presentations produced by world-class pyro musical artists hailing from India, Austria, France, and Germany, plus a Canadian-produced finale.

Granary Road's biggest festival of the year is on August 20th and 21st! Family Fun Fair is our take on a good old-fashioned carnival, with tons of games, prizes, and carnival treats! The Priddis and Millarville Fair is a full weekend of old fashioned, country-style family fun that draws our extended community together on the third weekend in August. The Fair is suitable for all ages and includes a wide variety of competitions, contests, displays and entertainment.

Calgary Pride presents the return to in-person programming for the 2022 pride season. The Calgary Pride Parade and Festival is an annual event where thousands gather to celebrate the diversity of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
