Calgary's Child About Town!

Calgary's Child on Global Calgary Morning News

For parenting tips and updates from local experts, don't miss the Calgary's Child Magazine Parenting Segment on the Global Calgary Morning News Show every Monday morning! Each segment has a different guest and topic, and our segment airs between 8:15 and 8:45am.

Monday, June 24
Guest: Nicole Herrmann, WASHED + WORN (curated kids consignment)
Topic: Camp can be costly. Add on the extra cost of camp clothing and the necessary outerwear to keep your little camper warm at night, and the expense of sending your kid to camp can really add up! But it doesn't have to. Enter WASHED +WORN, a pre-loved kids consignment store! Tune in for Nicole's top picks of kid's camp- and budget-friendly clothing. Reused never looked so good!

Monday, July 1
There will be no Global Morning Show.

Monday, July 8
Guest: Nicki Brown, Calgary's Child Magazine
Topic: Let's face it, summer can be expensive. With a rodeo, plenty of food, bevvies, and lots of activities to partake in, funds can deplete rather quickly. That's why we've put together our top family-friendly festivities that won't cost you a penny. Nothing. Nada. Your family can still have tons of fun and be frugal at the same time. Tune in for Nicki's top picks for July summer fun!

Monday, July 15
Guest:
Soraya Lakhani, R. Psych., Yellow Kite Psychology
Topic:
Summer is in full swing and although we imagine our kids spending these warm days playing in the great outdoors, the reality is, many kids - especially tweens and teens - will be playing their video games indoors. Looking for ways to tame your child's game? Tune in for Soraya's expert advice.
