Indigenous History Month Celebration at Southcentre Mall.

Join us at Southcentre Mall from June 3rd to 23rd for our fourth annual Indigenous History Month celebration in partnership with Authentically Indigenous. This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. Experience educational activities, cultural displays, and storytelling sessions that connect both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Storytelling: Be moved by traditional stories from elders, delight in puppet shows by Indigenous authors, and explore virtual reality experiences by the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth. Artisan Market: Discover the vibrancy of Indigenous creativity at our artisan market on June 7th and 8th. Enjoy music, dance, and locally crafted goods. Educational Information Walls: Learn and engage with displays that provide deeper insights into Indigenous culture.

Spruce Meadows Christmas Lights Drive Through.
Every Sunday, Friday, Saturday, Jan 1, 2021 - Jan 3, 2021 at 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Visit Spruce Meadows to enjoy the thousands of twinkling lights, festive displays, and holiday tunes - all from the comfort of your vehicle. Tune your radio to 87.9 FM to listen to the festive music while you enjoy the Christmas Lights Drive Through. Takes place Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout December until January 3. The drive through will not be available on Christmas Day. Visitors must remain in their vehicles at all times. There are no buildings or facilities open and walking is not permitted. Due to the construction of the Southwest Calgary Ring Road, access to Spruce Meadows has changed. To download the route map, visit the website.

Temporarily Closed - Sparkle Sparkle at TELUS Spark.

TELUS Spark will be closed to the public starting at 4pm on December 9, 2020 in accordance with the provincial COVID-19 restrictions. Takes place until January 3 (TELUS Spark is closed on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1). Spark has transformed into a shimmering wonderland of over 270,000 LED lights! An indoor path experience will lead you through the cosmos, in holiday style. The Calgary science centre warms up the darkest winter nights with an original and delightful holiday light experience. Walk through a massive shimmering northern lights cave, warm up by a towering LED bonfire, and be spellbound by shooting stars in one of Canada's largest dome theatres. Timed tickets available from 5 to 7:30pm daily. Tickets are $18.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids ages 3 to 17. Spark members get 40 percent off ticket prices. The science centre galleries are not open during Sparkle Sparkle. This is a pathway experience through the light exhibition only.

Legacy's 6th Annual Light Parade.

Takes place November 16 to January 10. Legacy’s 6th Annual Christmas Light Parade is back! With over 1 million lights, Legacy will be one of the brightest places in Calgary for you and your family to enjoy this holiday season. It is free for anyone to come and drive through the community or bundle up and take a walk along the many lit-up streets, parks, and through tunnels of lights. This year, there will be over 200,000 lights, new figurines, and twinkling Christmas trees, and many other things to do! Take a glide on the skating rink located at 412 Legacy View SE. Tour decorated show homes from WestCreek Homes and Look Master Builder. Check out Shane Homes Grizwald House inspired decorations - you'll be blinded by the light! Visit Wolf Willow for free hot drinks from food trucks on December 5,12, and 19.
