Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! March 24: 4 to 9pm. March 25: 10am to 6pm. March 26: 10am to 6pm. Join at the Chinese Cultural Centre for a weekend of family fun, local art, music, interactive displays, yummy treats, and much more! Market Collective is an independent market, created to showcase the works of local artists, artisans, and musicians and to strengthen the local community in Calgary. Live music and DJs all weekend long. Admission is $5 for the entire weekend! Admission for kids 12 and under is free.

Sign up for Hike for Hospice Calgary today, a Family-Friendly Walk through Fish Creek Provincial Park! The Hike takes place on Sunday, May 7 from 9am to Noon. Join CNIB Calgary's inaugural Night Steps pledge walk at 5pm at CNIB, which is located in Bridgeland, to step into a night filled with family-friendly events, a Calgary Lions Club BBQ, and a walk under the stars to benefit and improve the lives of those who are blind and partially sighted. Register as a participant, a sponsor, or a volunteer to promote Night Steps where 100 per cent of the funds go to area Calgarians for "seeing beyond vision loss."
