Go ENG Girl.
> Saturday Nov 16, 2024 at 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
At the Schulich School of Engineering, we want students to know that a rich and diverse engineering community is essential to finding solutions to society’s biggest challenges. We’re committed to increasing the representation of women and other underrepresented groups in engineering while celebrating their contributions to innovation and design. Join us for this free annual event for Grade 7 to 10 students in underrepresented groups and experience an exciting introduction to the world of engineering. With events hosted at most of Canada’s top universities Go ENG Girl offers girls and non-binary youth in grades 7-11 the chance to learn more about engineering through a series of fun hands-on activities and exhibits. Women undergraduate students, professional engineers and professors take part in the day to share their stories of passion, inspiration and success. A complimentary lunch will be provided to all attendees, including chaperones. There will be a limited number of dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. If your participant has other dietary restrictions, please contact schulichdiversity@ucalgary.ca to see if we can accommodate.
