Louisa May Alcott’s timeless, captivating story of the March family is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache and hope. Jo March weaves the story of her and her sisters, Meg, Beth and Amy, and their adventures growing up in the wake of America’s Civil War.

The festival is comprised of walks, talks, tours, and presentations making up 88 events in 11 days. In addition to events in Calgary, attendees explore the history of Chestermere, Cochrane, High River, Morleyville, and Okotoks.

A full week of blues workshops, concerts and special events culminates in four days and nights of non-stop music, followed by the Twilight Blues dance parties. Taking place over three days of the Heritage Day long weekend in August, the festival features 30 individual acts or performers, family friendly site, a free downtown concert on festival Friday evening, a kids’ area jammed with crafts, puppets, music, storytelling and a climbing wall.

FAQs Do I need a vehicle to join? The drive-in movie spots are for vehicles only with a purchased ticket. There will be no outdoor seating to accommodate walk-ins. How does a Drive In work? Security will direct your vehicle when you arrive. Larger vehicles will be placed at the back of the lot and smaller vehicles near the front so everyone can enjoy the movie. There is a dedicated radio station for the movie to tune in and listen in your vehicle’s sound system. Are there any vehicle restrictions? Parking spots are standard size. No RVs, camper vans, truck campers, or large vehicles that extend beyond a standard stall. If I don’t get a ticket, can I watch the fireworks? Yes, the fireworks will go off the rooftop around 10PM, so you can enjoy them from anywhere outside of the drive-in movie area Does each person in my vehicle need a ticket?
