Join us at Southcentre Mall from June 3rd to 23rd for our fourth annual Indigenous History Month celebration in partnership with Authentically Indigenous. This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. Experience educational activities, cultural displays, and storytelling sessions that connect both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Storytelling: Be moved by traditional stories from elders, delight in puppet shows by Indigenous authors, and explore virtual reality experiences by the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth. Artisan Market: Discover the vibrancy of Indigenous creativity at our artisan market on June 7th and 8th. Enjoy music, dance, and locally crafted goods. The Calgary Farmers' Market is continuing their holiday tradition and will be transforming into the premiere destination to find everything for on the table and under the tree this upcoming holiday season. Dine with friends as live holiday entertainment fills the market, indulge in treats while you find the perfect gift, and create memories with special activities. There will be plenty of activities from Santa and cookie decorating, Tea with Mrs. Claus, live ice carving, a Canadian Maple Shack, and more! Plus, there is no admission fee and free parking! Calgary’s Storymusic Creations presents a storytelling concert featuring two original stories accompanied by live musicians. Be a part of this unique and engaging experience as narrator Samantha Whelan Kotkas reads “Elk’s Wintry Day” and “Salmon and Dipper’s Wondrous Journey” along with Jolivet’s Petite Suite and Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp.

The City of Calgary Parks Winterfest! Get creative in the crafts room, join a guided park tour, and test out your bird-watching skills. There will also be nature-themed games, fun facts about the park’s wildlife, and more! Takes place at Ralph Klein Park.

The Calgary Youth Orchestra (CYO) is the flagship orchestra in Mount Royal Conservatory's Orchestral Program.
