Register Today for the 13th Annual Hike for Hospice Calgary.

Register today for the 13th Annual Hike for Hospice Calgary, taking place on May 6. 9am: North Parking Lot - Registration, Pledge Drop-Off, T-shirt Pick-Up, and Festivities. 10am: Warm up with the Stampeder Outriders, Opening Ceremonies, and then the Walk! Walk 5K at Sikome Lake, Fish Creek Provincial Park, as Hospice Calgary celebrates people close to Hospice Calgary and to support end-of-life care in the local community. There will also be refreshments, face painting, a kids zone, a doggie zone, and photo booth! For full details and to register for the Hike for Hospice Calgary, visit the website. Whales|Tohor? is an interactive experience housing one of the world's largest whale collections from the National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. This exhibition will immerse you into the biology diversity, evolution, and deep significance of whales to M?ori culture.

Night Sky Wonders.

For those who are interested in the stars and planets, you’ll have the opportunity to learn some of the basics from local astronomer, Don Hladiuk. Don is best known as the Starman on the CBC EyeOpener for the last 33 years. Night Sky Wonders is a two-hour program that includes an indoor classroom component during which you’ll enjoy a presentation by Don about what you might see in the sky, followed by an outdoor viewing session (weather-permitting) where you can put what you learned into practice. Complimentary hot chocolate will be available in case there is a bit of a chill in the air.
