Register today for the 13th Annual Hike for Hospice Calgary, taking place on May 6. 9am: North Parking Lot - Registration, Pledge Drop-Off, T-shirt Pick-Up, and Festivities. 10am: Warm up with the Stampeder Outriders, Opening Ceremonies, and then the Walk! Walk 5K at Sikome Lake, Fish Creek Provincial Park, as Hospice Calgary celebrates people close to Hospice Calgary and to support end-of-life care in the local community. Register Now for the SunRype TRi KiDS Triathlon on July 22! This triathlon offers safe, non-competitive, confidence-building races for children and youth ages 3 to 15. Join us at Southcentre Mall from June 3rd to 23rd for our fourth annual Indigenous History Month celebration in partnership with Authentically Indigenous. This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. Experience educational activities, cultural displays, and storytelling sessions that connect both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Storytelling: Be moved by traditional stories from elders, delight in puppet shows by Indigenous authors, and explore virtual reality experiences by the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth. An afternoon concert showcasing some of classic music favorites performed by the three recent winners of the Netherland’s prestigious Princess Christina Competition. It'll be a great way to introduce children to beautiful violin, piano, and flute music. This year's winners are Carter Muller (piano), Daniël Tibben (flute), and Vera Werkman (violin) and they will be performing music by Chopin, Nino Rota, Robert Schumann, Bach, and Beethoven.
