Register Now for the SunRype TRi KiDS Triathlon on July 22! This triathlon offers safe, non-competitive, confidence-building races for children and youth ages 3 to 15. Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! Join us at Southcentre Mall from June 3rd to 23rd for our fourth annual Indigenous History Month celebration in partnership with Authentically Indigenous. This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. Experience educational activities, cultural displays, and storytelling sessions that connect both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Storytelling: Be moved by traditional stories from elders, delight in puppet shows by Indigenous authors, and explore virtual reality experiences by the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth. Artisan Market: Discover the vibrancy of Indigenous creativity at our artisan market on June 7th and 8th. Enjoy music, dance, and locally crafted goods. Educational Information Walls: Learn and engage with displays that provide deeper insights into Indigenous culture.

Give your child a chance to express themselves through music and movement. The Youth Singers of Calgary would like to invite your child/children to try their Kids and Music program completely for free! Children who will be entering PreK to Grade 2 for the 2018-2019 school year can join on May 26 at the Performing Arts Youth Centre for 45 minutes of music, movement, and fun. The PreK/ Kindergarten class starts at 10am and Grades 1 and 2 start at 11am! Explore and meet many Canadian local comic book creators at the Panel One Comic Creator Festival. With over 50 tabling creators and a line- up of panels, workshops, and children's programming, there is fun planned for the whole family! Admission is free for kids 12 and under.

Celebrate outdoor play! Bring a picnic lunch for 11:30, Rattle and Strum with give a performance to get you singing and dancing! At 12:45, there will be stations set up where you can try orienteering with SOGO Adventure Running, visit with Professor Ant, create a nature art piece, search for aquatic insects in the pond, explore nature, and more!

Nerf and Super Soaker Wars are back! Nerf Wars sessions run 6:30 to 7:30pm and 7:45 to 8:45pm. Bracelets are sold starting at 5pm. All ages welcome! Players under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult player. Bring your own gun, eyewear or borrow some from Trico for free. They'll bring all the ammo. Super Soaker Wars in the pool! Go to Nerf Wars, and then join in on the action at the pool: 7 to 9pm. Bring your own super soaker (no backpack style).
