YYC World Autism Awareness Day 2019.

The 6th annual city-wide event, YYC World Autism Awareness Day (YYC WAAD), is being held by nonprofit organizations, Autism Calgary, and Autism Aspergers Friendship Society (AAFS), to raise awareness and acceptance for Autism Spectrum Disorder. YYC WAAD encourages Calgarians to come together as a community, blow bubbles, and show appreciation and acceptance for the Autism community. There will be live entertainment, face painters, bouncy castles, art displays, disability community vendor booths, sensory games, trivia, miniature horse, puppet-making, princesses and superheroes. The event is free for all ages, and attendees are encouraged to wear gold colors to represent Autism acceptance.

Children will learn how sensitive their fingertips are by seeing how difficult it is to identify objects when different senses are dulled.
