Storyteller/Musician Samantha Whelan Kotkas and her friends will entertain you and your children with musical interactive tales of child-accessible hikes in the Rocky Mountains. Teach your child about courage, unity, joyfulness, and caring in an afternoon of fun and adventure. An event for the whole family that you will want to be a part of. Recommended for children aged 5 to 12, but created with the entire family in mind. Come one hour before the show & enjoy family friendly activities. Stay after to meet the performers. Pumkin Days takes place Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, September 17 to October 31. Thursdays: 10am to 5pm. Fridays to Sundays: 10am to 5:30pm. Picking the perfect pumpkin at the Farmyard is an annual tradition for many families and friends. In addition to enjoying hours of fun on the farm, pumpkins are on display for photos and for purchase. All carving pumpkin proceeds will be donated to local charities. Admission includes access to the entire farm with the exception of the Paintball gallery and gemstone mining. Pumpkins for photo ops and for purchase are available each day. Larger pumpkin displays will be set up on the weekends. Timed tickets are available on a weekly basis and must be purchased in advance as daily attendance capacities are in effect. Season passholders do not require timed tickets.

CIFF is proud to present a new hybrid model of in-cinema and at-home programming for the 21st Annual Calgary International Film Festival taking place September 24 to October 4. This year’s festival will feature over 90 in-cinema screenings and will include at least 80 features and shorts available to stream online. Some films will be in-cinema exclusives, while others will be available both online and in-cinema - giving audiences flexibility during the pandemic.

Fall is in the air and Kayben Farms is so excited to be opening up again! There are some changes to how the park operates with the current government regulations, so visit the website before heading to out. New Fall hours: September 11 to October 31, Friday to Sunday. Pre-purchase admission online before arriving. You may use your ticket for any one day of the 2020 season!

Love Where You Live - Shop Local! Visit Centre Court in Southcentre Mall on September 26 & 27 from 11am to 7pm to support local businesses in partnership with the Made in Alberta Awards. Get a head start on holiday shopping and explore locally-made goods from Alberta makers and entrepreneurs. Award winners and participants will be onsite selling everything from clothing and furniture, to skin care and tasty treats.

It’s a spooktacular good time for the whole family! Dress up as your favorite family-friendly character and enjoy a day of fun! Join in these special adventures: Stroll through Hallotown and discover spooky scenes. Spot the details of each Hallotown scene by participating in the Hallotown Scavenger Haunt. Physically distanced, non-touch photo opportunities. Halloweekends is a display of Halloween-themed scenes that run through the south side of Calaway Park. This space is known as Hallotown. Guests can observe these scenes from the Calaway Park pathways while maintaining physical distancing. All aspects have been designed to be non-touch. Admission Entry Reservations are required.
