Pumpkin Days at Calgary Farmyard.

Pumkin Days takes place Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, September 17 to October 31. Thursdays: 10am to 5pm. Fridays to Sundays: 10am to 5:30pm. Picking the perfect pumpkin at the Farmyard is an annual tradition for many families and friends. In addition to enjoying hours of fun on the farm, pumpkins are on display for photos and for purchase. All carving pumpkin proceeds will be donated to local charities. Admission includes access to the entire farm with the exception of the Paintball gallery and gemstone mining. Pumpkins for photo ops and for purchase are available each day. Larger pumpkin displays will be set up on the weekends. Timed tickets are available on a weekly basis and must be purchased in advance as daily attendance capacities are in effect. Season passholders do not require timed tickets.

Camp Serotonin Exhibit at TELUS Spark.

The great outdoors has made its way inside TELUS Spark and adventure is calling! The world may seem like it’s been flipped upside down and inside out in 2020. Learn how to ground yourself in this safe indoor pathway science exhibit that immerses you into the great outdoors without being outside. You'll learn about the science of the hormones that keep you happy. After all, happiness is key! The exhibit features a boardwalk that guides you through micro-habitats peppered with tips, tricks, and strategies for resiliency during uncertain times. The experience focuses on the science behind neurotransmitters from serotonin to endorphins and its role in boosting mental health and well-being. This exhibit is included with general admission or membership to Spark. Members must reserve tickets for entry.

With three original theatrical productions to choose from, including a family-friendly option, there is something for everyone. Buckle up because once you're parked, you'll be plunged into a 7-minute story from which there is no escape. This will be the Halloween attraction that everyone is talking about, so don't miss out! Tickets are extremely limited, only available by online presale, and are expected to sell out nightly, so don't wait! Tickets are sold by vehicle and you can have as many people as seatbelts, so grab your cohort for a fun night out! Or come alone if you want an extra thrill!

Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! Indigenous History Month Celebration at Southcentre Mall.

Join us at Southcentre Mall from June 3rd to 23rd for our fourth annual Indigenous History Month celebration in partnership with Authentically Indigenous. This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. Experience educational activities, cultural displays, and storytelling sessions that connect both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Storytelling: Be moved by traditional stories from elders, delight in puppet shows by Indigenous authors, and explore virtual reality experiences by the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth. Artisan Market: Discover the vibrancy of Indigenous creativity at our artisan market on June 7th and 8th. Enjoy music, dance, and locally crafted goods. Free Family Active Living Days at Kamp Kiwanis.

Come and spend active quality time together at Kamp Kiwanis! Family Active Living Days are designed for all ages to come out and enjoy the natural outdoor setting and engage in activities such as archery, canoeing, crafts, nature walks, orienteering and more. Best of all, these activities are free to participate in! Pre-registration for all activities is required. Call 403-242-9255 or email kamp.director@kampkiwanis.ca to register. You can partake in a half-day program, full-day program, or multiple days. Family Active Living Days run from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays, September 19 and 26, October 10 and 24, November 7 and 21 with the option to participate in a half-day program. Butterfield Acres Harvest Pumpkin Fest.

Pumpkin Fest takes place weekends in October, in specific 2-hour windows. Stroll through the farmyard and find your perfect pumpkins! Add in some great animal visits, fabulous Fall photo-ops, pony rides, a ride through Scarecrow Alley in the back woodlands (spectacular at this time of year) and you’ve got the must-do socially-distanced Fall fun day, great for the whole family! When visiting the farm, make sure the adult/child ratio is at least 1:3 and that all attendees are aware of the Farm's safety rules. To read the COVID guidelines, visit the website. Join in these special adventures: Stroll through Hallotown and discover spooky scenes. Spot the details of each Hallotown scene by participating in the Hallotown Scavenger Haunt. Physically distanced, non-touch photo opportunities. Halloweekends is a display of Halloween-themed scenes that run through the south side of Calaway Park. This space is known as Hallotown. Guests can observe these scenes from the Calaway Park pathways while maintaining physical distancing. All aspects have been designed to be non-touch. Admission Entry Reservations are required.
