Teach your child about courage, unity, joyfulness, and caring in an afternoon of fun and adventure. An event for the whole family that you will want to be a part of. Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! Book your appointment to take a sensory-friendly photo with Santa in The Holly Jolly Tree Farm at Southcentre Mall. Visiting Santa is part of many families’ holiday traditions, but it can be difficult for children with sensory processing difficulties, due to bright lights, noise, and crowds. Southcentre's sensory-friendly photos with Santa will be a time for kids to see Santa Claus with the usual holiday music and lights turned off to provide a quiet, calm, and supportive environment. There will be no direct contact with Santa and appointments are required. The Holly Jolly Tree Farm is a new Santa experience and there are additional COVID-19 restrictions in place. Free Family Active Living Days at Kamp Kiwanis.

Come and spend active quality time together at Kamp Kiwanis! Family Active Living Days are designed for all ages to come out and enjoy the natural outdoor setting and engage in activities such as archery, canoeing, crafts, nature walks, orienteering and more. Legacy's 6th Annual Light Parade.

Takes place November 16 to January 10. Legacy’s 6th Annual Christmas Light Parade is back! With over 1 million lights, Legacy will be one of the brightest places in Calgary for you and your family to enjoy this holiday season. It is free for anyone to come and drive through the community or bundle up and take a walk along the many lit-up streets, parks, and through tunnels of lights. This year, there will be over 200,000 lights, new figurines, and twinkling Christmas trees, and many other things to do! Take a glide on the skating rink located at 412 Legacy View SE. Tour decorated show homes from WestCreek Homes and Look Master Builder. Check out Shane Homes Grizwald House inspired decorations - you'll be blinded by the light!
