Come celebrate Family Day at Trico Centre! On Monday, February 21st, admission will be just $5 per person, and there will be more activities than you can shake a (hockey) stick at! Come in for a swim; play floor hockey, badminton or pickleball; hit the ice for some stick and puck fun or family skating - and MORE! Company of Adventurers, in partnership with The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, is proud to offer skill-building, backcountry expeditions to various locations in the Canadian Rockies. Our Practice and Qualifying expeditions will give you winter skills experience you crave while helping you learn the tools, methods, and confidence to get outside all winter long with friends and family. Skills include: Avalanche Awareness, Snowshoeing, XC-Skiing, Fire Lighting and Shelter Building. The Calgary Zoo is starting the year off with waddle! The 2022 Penguin Walk, presented by RE/MAX, marks the 10th year of the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo's penguin walk. During the winter months, the king penguin colony heads out on zoo grounds for a daily enrichment walk to keep their brains and bodies healthy and visitors get to experience the fun! This incredible program allows you to get an up-close look at the group of king penguins as they explore, exercise, and waddle their way through the zoo. This is a free-choice activity for the penguins and is subject to weather conditions and animal inclination.
