Beginning May 1, the Bow Habitat Station’s Kids Can Catch Trout Pond is open for the season. This pond is stocked with rainbow trout raised in the fish hatchery for you to catch and release. Visit bowhabitat.alberta.ca for more information.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, Alberta’s government is hosting free public events and activities. Although admission is free, there may be additional fees for some activities. Shop at 110 Student Businesses at Canada's largest youth business fair. Presented by the Financial Academy at North Point School, this unforgettable event is the culmination of months of planning and hard work by our students as part of the entrepreneurship and financial education program. They plan, create and launch a student-business to sell their products or services at this one-day business fair. Guest judges evaluate each business based on criteria such as booth presentation, interaction with customers, product knowledge and planning. Businesses in past years have included products or services such as self-made handicrafts, cards, fine arts, toys, fashion accessories, handmade soaps, pet treats, creative games, face painting, magic tricks, singing, or playing an instrument. The Business Fair allows North Point students to experience the entrepreneurial process and provides a marketplace for our future business men and women. Over the course of several months, each student will decide on their product or service, develop a business plan and marketing strategy, and manufacture their product or service to sell at the Business Fair. We encourage all to be creative, successful and profitable in their ventures! Thank you for supporting this event and helping us develop the entrepreneurs of tomorrow’s world.
