Join us at Southcentre Mall from June 3rd to 23rd for our fourth annual Indigenous History Month celebration in partnership with Authentically Indigenous. This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. Experience educational activities, cultural displays, and storytelling sessions that connect both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Storytelling: Be moved by traditional stories from elders, delight in puppet shows by Indigenous authors, and explore virtual reality experiences by the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth. Artisan Market: Discover the vibrancy of Indigenous creativity at our artisan market on June 7th and 8th. Enjoy music, dance, and locally crafted goods. Educational Information Walls: Learn and engage with displays that provide deeper insights into Indigenous culture.

Beginning May 1, the Bow Habitat Station’s Kids Can Catch Trout Pond is open for the season. This pond is stocked with rainbow trout raised in the fish hatchery for you to catch and release. Visit bowhabitat.alberta.ca for more information.

Enjoy special event offerings, such as entry into select aircraft, allowing a chance to sit in the cockpit. There will be hands-on activities and local car clubs will be there highlighting vehicles for a show and shine, too. If you’re ready for an adventure, Helicopter City Tours from LR Helicopters will also be offered for an additional fee, but it’s first-come, first-served and weather dependent.

Join us on the south patio from 11 to 2 Bike & Car Show The Vintage Sports Car Club of Calgary and the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club is rolling in for one day only! They’ll be parked around the patio so you can look (and maybe touch) these motorized beauties. Best of the Wurst The Calgary Food Bank is manning the grill for the day and we’re pitting market sausages against each other to find out your flavourite! With a donation to the Food Bank, you’ll get to try bratwursts from Missing Link, Big T’s BBQ, Spragg’s, and Margarita’s and it up to YOU to decide who’s is the best brat at CFM. Beer & Cocktail Sampling To wash down your dogs, sample the canned brews and cocktails from Troubled Monk & Eau Claire Distillery. If you taste one you can’t live without, we’re moving the Sips bar to the patio so you can enjoy the sun and the smell of the grill with your drink.
