The worldwide touring exhibit, The Museum of Failure (MOX), is coming to Canada for the first time. MOX will be popping up in Calgary at Southcentre Mall this summer. This immersive walk-through exhibition showcases a collection of over 130 failed innovations from major brands, including Apple, Amazon, Nintendo, and more.

A festival where artists create temporary site-specific installations in downtown Okotoks. This art festival sees artists repurpose and animate forgotten places with ‘forgotten’ materials, bringing public art to forgotten corners of downtown Okotoks. Individual artists and teams use recycled products to create installations that raise environmental awareness, animate spaces, and entertain audiences.

Taste of Calgary is the city's most appetizing festival, giving visitors the chance to sample the city's food, beverages, music and other cool things. Discover Calgary's global cuisines from a mix of unique restaurants and beverage companies. Plus get a taste of Calgary's great musicians.

BUMP self-guided mural tours are a perfect way to explore the murals and experience new works of art as they are being created right before your eyes. New tours will be released throughout the month of August. The Beltline Urban Mural Project (BUMP) is a program that funds and installs art on buildings in the Beltline.

Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! Beginning May 1, the Bow Habitat Station’s Kids Can Catch Trout Pond is open for the season. This pond is stocked with rainbow trout raised in the fish hatchery for you to catch and release. Visit bowhabitat.alberta.ca for more information.
