Find these products and more at Granary Road’s October Harvest days! You can celebrate the changing of seasons by riding Granary Road’s Hayrides, taking Instagrammable pictures with our fall décor (such as our multiple scarecrows, hay bales, and infamous orange truck!) & more. Purchase locally grown pumpkins to carve, enjoy some hot apple cider, and shop our vendors to get in the season’s spirit! Get lost in our Spooky Bat Maze, and play some mini golf for some good old fall fun!
October Harvest Days will be running from October 1st to 30th. The Farmer’s Market will be open from 10:00am to 5:30pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

‘Wolves: The Art of Dempsey Bob’ at Glenbow.

Experience the work of Tahltan-Tlingit master carver Dempsey Bob at the immersive ‘Wolves: The Art of Dempsey Bob’ exhibition.
The exhibition features 65 works and is the first-ever retrospective of Bob’s career from the 1970s to the present. Visitors to the exhibition will discover a selection of masks, sculpture and regalia, complemented by Bob’s work in bronze casting and vestment production. In his works, Bob reinterprets the traditional characters and iconography from the age-old stories of his people, at times transforming those traditional tales with European influences.

On Saturday October 22nd, Granary Road has partnered with the Okotoks Optimist Club to run their fourth annual PUMPKIN CHUNKIN event from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Do you think you have what it takes to chuck pumpkins?? Contestants will create their own machine (catapult or trebuchet) to launch pumpkins as far as possible for messy and hilarious results! All ages are welcome for this fun event which will have pumpkins available for purchase, a costume contest, games, music and more! Please bring a donation for the Foodbank when you watch the craziness ensue!
On Sunday October 23rd is our first PUMPKIN SMASH event! Remember how neighborhood kids would smash pumpkins the night before Halloween? Well channel your inner hooligan and register to crush a pumpkin like never before. It’s sure to be a HIT! Our farm animals LOVE pumpkins and will thank you for making them easier to eat!
Costumes are encouraged, but smiles, laughter and pumpkins are mandatory!!

Youth Campfire Bootcamp 101 for 9-13 year olds is a spinoff of the popular Campfire Bootcamp 101 for adults. Whether just beginning or experienced, students are given the opportunity to play and sing fun, varied songs appropriate to their age group. The songs are written out in an easy to understand format with basic instruction on how to approach accompaniment and soloing. Variations are included on how to expand those techniques to ensure all students reach their potential. Class size is kept small so students receive personalized instruction and the setlist is chosen primarily by the students.

Percussive Accompaniment
No experience is necessary, however basic guitar technique is helpful. Enrollees are required to have their own instrument and a capo.
