Family Fishing Weekends in Alberta.

Family fishing weekends are offered twice a year in Alberta – during the Family Day weekend and during National Fishing Week in the summer. During Alberta’s twice-yearly Family Fishing Weekends, no fishing is licence required. Albertans and visitors are invited to give fishing a try on waterbodies with open fishing seasons (not in national parks). Keep in mind that fishing regulations still apply.

The relentlessly powerful, athletic and loud YAMATO – The Drummers of Japan are returning to the Jack Singer Concert Hall! Combining traditional Wadaiko drumming with world-class theatrical showmanship, a YAMATO show is something you need to feel to believe. Each show features over 40 drums on stage, including the enormous 500 kg “Odaiko,” YAMATO will shake the walls of the Jack Singer Concert Hall with percussion. In their new show, Hinotori, meaning “phoenix,” they will celebrate the rebirth of live shows from the ashes through masterful drum performance, storytelling, and light-hearted fun.
