Forgiveness is the acclaimed 2018 Canada Reads–winning novel by Mark Sakamoto. It’s a memoir of Sakamoto’s grandparents and their harrowing experiences during the Second World War. Mark’s maternal grandfather was a Canadian soldier who spent years as a prisoner of war in a Japanese camp. His paternal grandmother was one of the thousands of Japanese–Canadians interned by the Canadian government during the war. In the face of tremendous adversity and transgressions, they chose not to live a life of anger but instead to embrace and teach forgiveness. Be prepared to be moved by this Governor General’s Literary Award-winner Hiro Kanagawa’s heartfelt adaptation.

Bert Church High School and Members of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra come together for a masterclass workshop and performance experience that provides enhanced musical direction, education, and leadership to local high school musicians at Bert Church Theatre in Airdrie. The first half of the program will feature performances by the Bert Church High School Band under the direction of Corbie Dorner. Following a brief intermission, the second half will feature small ensemble performances curated and performed by Members of the Calgary Phil.

Small Time Theatre proudly presents the Broadway musical hit, Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The music, singing and dancing will leave you and your family remembering the joys of being a dreamer. The production runs from March 14th - 17th at 7:00pm each night. The cost is $10 a ticket with assigned seating. The performances run 90 minutes with a short intermission.
