By the 1990’s, the wedding singer has had lots of practice and is often called on to sing at the biggest weddings of the year. But what happens when he must sing at, what everyone says will surely be, the wedding of the millennium? Oh, and the millennium bride just happens to be his daughter.

The Children of Willesden Lane.
Everyday from Apr 19, 2023 - Apr 20, 2023 at 7:19 pm - 7:30 pm
The Taylor Centre for the Performing Arts presents The Children of Willesden Lane for two performances on April 19 and 20, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Performed by Grammy-nominated Mona Golabek, The Children of Willesden Lane is the true account of her mother Lisa Jura’s experience as a Jewish child refugee and musical prodigy who escaped the Nazis on the Kindertransport to the United Kingdom just before the Second World War. As one of 9,000 to 10,000 children from Nazi Germany and German-occupied territory rescued by the British Government on the Kinderstransport. Music was a refuge for Lisa, a connection back to the family and life she had left behind in Vienna. Her music remains a bridge between the past and the present. Combining vivid storytelling and masterful performances of classics by Bach, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff, the acclaimed one-woman show illustrates how music can bring light and hope to even the darkest of times.
