we’ve all attended a wedding or two. Which is why we could all relate to the classic movie about a 1980’s wedding singer who finally found a love of his own. By the 1990’s, the wedding singer has had lots of practice and is often called on to sing at the biggest weddings of the year. But what happens when he must sing at, what everyone says will surely be, the wedding of the millennium? Oh, and the millennium bride just happens to be his daughter.

A fundraiser open to all ages and abilities. The event provides participants with an opportunity to celebrate loved ones living with advanced illness and honor those who have passed away. Each year, participants walk a 5km route to raise funds that will support Hospice Calgary’s mission.

Celebrate May the 4th and bring your young padawans in-store to learn legendary lightsaber moves. Kids can engage in lightsaber training sessions to hone their Jedi powers and get a personalized certificate to certify their Jedi Knight status. Calgary Rock & Lapidary Club will present the 61st Annual Rock & Mineral Show at Vivo for Healthier Generations on May 5 – 7, 2023, featuring over 50 vendors from around the world, live demonstrations, activities, silent auction and more. Since 1959, the CRLC has been dedicated to creating a community for those who love earth sciences & the arts. The 61st Calgary Rock & Mineral Show is a major fundraiser for the Calgary Rock & Lapidary Club. Operated by volunteers, the show hosts over 50 dealers from across the globe that showcase rare rocks, gems, minerals, fossils, crystals, jewellery & beads. Volunteers also perform live demonstrations as they show off their craft and attendees learn and become inspired. There will be entertainment and activities for whole family with a gem hunt for the kids and a silent auction. For over 60 years this event has been entertaining and educating the Calgary community as Calgary’s only not-for-profit Rock & Mineral show. Tickets can be purchased now online (see www.crlc.ca/show ) or at the door for a low price of $7 for adults, $5 for students & seniors, and kids under 12 are FREE. Weekend passes are also available.

An invigorating outdoor mat class combining 45 minutes of pilates with 30 minutes of stretching flow in the beautiful fresh air at McMahon Stadium. All the funds raised from this event will go towards supporting Kidsport Calgary, a non-profit organization that helps kids from underprivileged families participate in sports.
