Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! A burger festival that takes place each year where participating restaurants from various Canadian cities compete to create a unique burger; reflective of their overall concept and cuisine. Throughout the week, burger aficionados everywhere are called upon to indulge in their city’s LBW burgers and vote online for their favorite one.

Organized by the Calgary United Scottish Games Association, these games have gained the reputation as being one of the most prestigious Highland events in the West. Attracting competitors and spectators from across Western Canada and the USA, you will watch some of the world’s top pipers, drummers, dancers, and heavy event athletes compete and perform at the Calgary Rugby Union.
