Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Award-winning actor and director Frank Ferrante ignites his PBS, New York and London acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in this fast paced 90 minutes of hilarity. The two-act comedy consists of the funniest Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including “Hooray for Captain Spalding,” and “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.” The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style at Stage West (727 42 Avenue SE).

Canstruction is coming to Eau Claire Tower this October for a Witches CAN Ghouls edition! Get ready for Halloween inspired creations in an event that brings together teams of engineers, designers, architects and builders to create extraordinary structures out of non-perishable food items. Using thousands of cans of food, five teams will compete to create structures that will be judged and on display until October 19. At the end of the exhibit, all food used will go to the Calgary Food Bank. This edition’s builders include Vesta Energy, McLennan Ross, Elan Construction, and EllisDon. Those coming to view the final structures are invited to bring a donation of non-perishable items or to donate to The Calgary Food Bank online: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/m/92683?v2=true.

At Pumpkin Fest, there's something for everyone in the family to enjoy. The last day of the regular season will see both remaining matches kick off simultaneously with plenty still to be decided in the final two matches at Spruce Meadows.

All farm activities are open, and the farm is lit up in fantastic display (except the corn maze of course, which remains dark as an added challenge for visitors to find their way through with their flashlights.) Pumpkins are available for photos and purchase in the evening too.

Come prepared to cruise the farmyard looking for your perfect pumpkins to take home. Get up close with the animals at our horse brushing and bunny holding stations. Take a ride through Scarecrow Alley on a big wagon behind the tractor.

VibeTribeYYC presents The Vibe-Out: their inaugural hip hop showcase event. The show will include many pieces from their Performance Crew: live performance and music videos, as well as a special performance from community members and The Tomorrows.

This film is screening in Fort Calgary's Burnswest Theatre as part of Films at the Fort: Thrills and Chills series. Each movie features classic horror films and family Halloween favourites. Every ticket includes popcorn and after-hours admission to the interpretive centre. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
