World Ringette Championships.

60th Anniversary of Ringette and showcase the fastest game on ice. The 2023 WRCs will play host to the U21 Junior World Championship and the President’s Pool World Championship, as well as showcase a U18 International Development Festival and Ringette Canada’s annual U17 La Releve camp at WinSport Arena. Over 350 athletes, coaches, and officials will be part of the thrilling action.
Field of Crosses.

At the Field of Crosses, in place from November 1 to 11 each year, you can honour those who have fallen for our country. Each of the 3,500-plus crosses erected on the north side of the Bow River – along Memorial Drive – is inscribed with the name, rank, regiment, and date of death of a Southern Alberta soldier killed in action.

Award-winning actor and director Frank Ferrante ignites his PBS, New York and London acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in this fast paced 90 minutes of hilarity. The two-act comedy consists of the funniest Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including “Hooray for Captain Spalding,” and “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.” The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style at Stage West (727 42 Avenue SE).
