The Rotary Festival of Trees is a community-based holiday celebration with decorated trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses, and special events and activities for the entire family at The Malcolm Hotel. It is free to view and walk through the forest of trees and magical Candy Cane Lane.

Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! Nutcracker (in a nutshell) is engaging and fun performance for the whole family at BMO Theatre at Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge. Nutcracker in a Nutshell takes children through the classic ballet The Nutcracker in just 30 minutes. Set to Tchaikovsky’s music, The Nutcracker Prince, Rat King, Snow Queen, Sugar Plum and all her friends make an appearance. There is holiday craft-making half an hour before the show, and a ‘Waltz of the Flowers’ interactive character dance and creativity workshop with the kids after the show.

Support Indigenous and local artists and businesses at the third annual Christmas on the Nation Holiday Market. In partnership with the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex & Chief Jim Starlight Centre and Taza, this new holiday market will feature over 150 Indigenous and local artists.
