As part of the observance of Black History Month, The Military Museums will be hosting an exhibition in the Atrium from February 2 to the 29. The exhibition aims to showcase the valuable role and sacrifices made by Black Canadian Soldiers from The First World War to the present day.

The East Village is bringing cozy back to East Village Hygge Hut on RiverWalk. The Hygge Hut is a big warm East Village hug in the middle of a long, cold Calgary winter. The contemporary, Scandinavian-style space is inspired by the Danish idea of Hygge, which means a special kind of well-being — it’s a cozy, easy togetherness enhanced by the glow of a firepit, soft lighting, a warm drink and good company. The snuggle vibe, in short.

The creation of a boy band is pretty easy. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Every January, Banff and Lake Louise comes alive with the annual SnowDays celebration. Lake Louise turns into a glittering display of ice sculptures during Ice Magic. The streets of downtown Banff transform into larger-than-life winter galleries with giant snow sculptures to be found throughout. The thrill of skijoring can be felt by excited onlookers lining the streets of Banff Avenue and the sounds of laughter and joy can be heard echoing from the SnowDays Play Zone.
