Mirror Mirror seamlessly blends creative expression and interactive innovation to create an ever-evolving playground of immersive art. Spanning nine dynamic art installations, each explores themes sparked by the wonder of the human mind, designed to entertain visitors of all ages.

Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! Exposure is an annual festival that celebrates photography, hosting thoughtfully curated exhibitions that showcase internationally renowned practitioners alongside emerging and established talent from Alberta at various Calgary venues.

This sweet festival sees cafes, restaurants, and chocolatiers compete for the coveted titles of YYC’s Best Hot Chocolate, Best Spirited Hot Chocolate, and Cup The Runneth Over Award. Calgarians can sip a variety of hot cocoas and determine the blend that roasts them all.

This triple bill of one-act murder mysteries combines: The Wasp’s Nest, which sees Hercule Poirot come between a bitter triangle of lovers to prevent a sinister murder before it takes place; The Rats, a dark and chilling tale in which a pair of adulterous lovers find themselves lured to a flat, trapped like rats and framed for murder; and The Patient, a tense thriller in which a woman has been hospitalized after seemingly falling from her balcony presented at Pumphouse Theatre.

Songs My Mother Never Sung Me?is an extraordinary musical for families about the relationship between a Deaf mom and her hearing son. With its innovative, inclusive approach, this piece is performed and sung in English and ASL (American Sign Language) without surtitles or interpretation. Presented by Inside Out Theatre at Pumphouse Theatre.

One of literature's most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back — braces, stubbornness and all. Meg Murry and her little brother, Charles Wallace, have been without their scientist father, Mr. Murry, for five years, ever since he discovered a new planet and used the concept known as a tesseract to travel there. Joined by Meg's classmate Calvin O'Keefe and guided by the three mysterious astral travellers known as Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which, the children brave a dangerous journey to a planet that possesses all of the evil in the universe.

As part of the observance of Black History Month, The Military Museums will be hosting an exhibition in the Atrium from February 2 to the 29. The exhibition aims to showcase the valuable role and sacrifices made by Black Canadian Soldiers from The First World War to the present day.

Once again this winter, you can see the king penguins outside of their habitat as they take a royal promenade through zoo grounds. The Penguin Walk offers the king penguins an opportunity for wintery enrichment as well as additional daily exercise. Don’t miss out on a waddling good time!

The East Village is bringing cozy back to East Village Hygge Hut on RiverWalk. The Hygge Hut is a big warm East Village hug in the middle of a long, cold Calgary winter. This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Da Vinci The Exhibition is a hands-on exploration of Leonardo da Vinci's life, research, and art, developed by Aurea Exhibitions and produced by Imagine Exhibitions, Inc. The Heebee-jeebees are a four-man Canadian comic a cappella quartet formed in 1993 (to meet girls), who have, over the past 29 and 3/4 years, sung thousands of performances, appeared on local, national and international radio, television (and print).
