As part of the observance of Black History Month, The Military Museums will be hosting an exhibition in the Atrium from February 2 to the 29. The exhibition aims to showcase the valuable role and sacrifices made by Black Canadian Soldiers from The First World War to the present day.

Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! The National Music Centre (NMC) is calling all teens to Studio Bell. In partnership with CJAY 92, NMC is supporting the next generation of rock stars with a free after-school drop-in program for teens, as Jesse & JD present the NMC Jam Club.

Once again this winter, you can see the king penguins outside of their habitat as they take a royal promenade through zoo grounds. The Penguin Walk offers the king penguins an opportunity for wintery enrichment as well as additional daily exercise. Don’t miss out on a waddling good time!

Guests can go beyond the canvas, exploring over 65 life-size inventions, more than 20 fine art studies, and captivating displays.

This season, Bow River has outfitted their players with pink jerseys, themed in support of Pink Shirt Day/Anti Bullying Day. The teams will be wearing these jerseys for games the week of February 22 to 29. On February 29, as a big finale, they will be hosting two marque games at the Rocky Ridge YMCA Rink.
