Pysanky for Peace is a Ukrainian artwork fundraiser intended to raise funds and support for Ukrainians who have been displaced or otherwise impacted by the war in Ukraine. A group of more than 20 local artists led by pysanka master Daena Diduck, will design 50 three dimensional eggs (in honour of Southcentre’s 50th anniversary this year), ranging from a few inches to nearly five feet tall. The eggs will be displayed at the mall as public art until the end of the month and will be available for purchase in exchange for a donation to WUNDERfund, a nonprofit that provides humanitarian aid to Ukrainians locally and abroad.

The Screaming Goat Collective will fill the cSpace Marda Loop theatre with a unique circus art experience. As they are working on new concepts and pushing the limits of their arts, 11 Calgary performers will present their freshly created acts in an intimate event. Following the show, there will be a talkback with the artists, allowing the audience to interact and understand the steps that brought those creations to life.
