Latitude 49 and Land’s End Ensemble are thrilled to co-present the second annual Sound Atlas Music Festival. Celebrating works by living composers and extraordinary performances by local and international sound artists, the festival will feature an eclectic and diverse range of musical styles at Contemporary Calgary.

The festival explores and celebrates the deep-rooted cultural significance of the dragon at the Chinese Cultural Centre. Life Cycle is a virtual cycling event in support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Taking place throughout the month of June families and cyclists will ride towards their personal fundraising and distance goals as they make a difference for kids across Alberta. Funds raised through Life Cycle will support the Child Life departments at both Alberta hospitals.

Runs daily Wed-Sun at 2 pm starting May 29. Take a 60-minute guided walking tour around the vibrant lands at The Confluence and learn some of the many histories of this significant place, including the history of the NWMP and their contribution to the birth of the city of Calgary, the railway, and the ways that many people have used this site since time immemorial. The walk is approximately 1.5 km and covers various terrains. Walks take place rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather. Access to the cultural centre requires additional admission. Recommended for ages 10+.
