An unforgettable weekend of ground-breaking icons, upstart songwriters, and instrumentalists — that Folk Fest feeling is like none other at Prince’s Island Park.

Join the Ultimate Summer Challenge, Calgary Public Library’s largest program for readers and learners of all ages! The challenge is simple: read every day this summer. With free access to books and resources at the Library, it is something all Calgarians can participate in. Plus, you’ll be eligible for incredible grand prizes, including KiwiCrate subscriptions, iPads and more.

The festival is comprised of walks, talks, tours, and presentations making up 88 events in 11 days. In addition to events in Calgary, attendees explore the history of Chestermere, Cochrane, High River, Morleyville, and Okotoks.

This summer, participating cafés, restaurants, and creameries compete for the coveted titles of YYC’s Best Scoop, Best Non-Dairy Scoop, and special Golden Scoop award. Calgarians can taste a spectacular lineup of chilled treats and determine the entry that bests them all!

The Inglewood Night Market is a modern market with locally sourced and handmade vendors selling diverse goods; from handmade crafts to vintage clothing, antiques and collectibles, artisan eats and more.

From ants to algorithms, Spark is buggin’ out with science this summer! TELUS Spark is buzzing with excitement as the science centre kicks off an epic summer of Bugs & Bytes! Guests are in for a summer full of exploring the secrets of both the digital and natural worlds while getting curious about science.

This family-friendly evening kicks off with a cowboy buffet and side-splitting western entertainment. After dinner, step outside as a spectacular wild west gunfight erupts on Main Street.

Huntington Hills Community Association is offering drop-in roller skating this July. The cost is $5 per person or free for members.

Every Friday and Saturday in July, join us at Granary Road for extended fun until 9pm! Enjoy an evening of Yester Year Mini Golf, exploring the Park, visiting our Farm Petting Zoo, indulging in delicious Ice Cream, and savoring authentic Mexican food by El Gringo Loco YYC. Team Canada FanFest is a series of free, family-friendly events for fans to cheer on Team Canada during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Team Canada FanFest, presented in partnership with the Home of Team Canada, Cadillac Fairview, aims to bring fans together to cheer on Team Canada athletes and to celebrate sport in Canada. Team Canada FanFest will take place over three weekends in three cities across the country, including: July 26-28: Calgary, Stephen Avenue Walk at Centre Street August 2-5: Toronto, CF Shops at Don Mills August 9-11: Montreal, La Cour Gare Windsor Team Canada FanFest will offer Olympic fans the opportunity to watch the Games with family and friends, Olympic athlete appearances, and live performances featuring Canadian music artists. Fans will also be able to experience Olympic sports, and engage with a roster of exciting and immersive Team Canada partner activations. Team Canada FanFest will be hosted live by two-time Olympic champion Catriona Le May Doan, alongside Olympians Gilmore Junio (Calgary), Cynthia Appiah (Toronto), and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe (Montreal).
