Kicking off on October 15th, join us at Southcentre Mall for an unforgettable celebration of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a vibrant Mexican holiday that brings families together to honour and remember loved ones who have passed. Our exciting schedule of events will showcase the richness of Latin American culture through art, music, dance, and more. This year’s event is presented in collaboration with Casa Mexico Foundation as part of Latin American Heritage Month in Canada. From October 15-November 2, experience a special display in Southcentre's Centre Court, including a Dia de los Muertos altar, special info walls, and artwork from local artists. Crafted by the talented duo Faby and Oscar Rios, The Afterparty is a lively folk art piece made from papier-mâché. This Dia de los Muertos-themed artwork celebrates the belief that joy extends beyond life. It depicts a vibrant scene with a couple dancing to a mariachi band, embracing the spirit of life even in death.
