The festival explores and celebrates the deep-rooted cultural significance of the dragon at the Chinese Cultural Centre. There are a variety of activities lined up, including seminars, exhibition, workshops, a vendor market, a dragon lantern parade, and diverse cultural performances including a dragon dance performance.

Storytelling has been a way to pass down wisdom and knowledge by the Blackfoot people since time immemorial. Through the oral tradition, Blackfoot Elder Sheldon First Rider will share stories from Blackfoot culture in this intimate one-hour program. Every month, Sheldon will speak on a different topic, covering everything from mythology and food to history and spirituality.
This July, discover the history of niitoy-yiss (tipi) and its uses in the everyday Blackfoot way of life.
