Team Canada FanFest.

Team Canada FanFest is a series of free, family-friendly events for fans to cheer on Team Canada during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Team Canada FanFest, presented in partnership with the Home of Team Canada, Cadillac Fairview, aims to bring fans together to cheer on Team Canada athletes and to celebrate sport in Canada. Team Canada FanFest will take place over three weekends in three cities across the country, including: July 26-28: Calgary, Stephen Avenue Walk at Centre Street August 2-5: Toronto, CF Shops at Don Mills August 9-11: Montreal, La Cour Gare Windsor Team Canada FanFest will offer Olympic fans the opportunity to watch the Games with family and friends, Olympic athlete appearances, and live performances featuring Canadian music artists. Fans will also be able to experience Olympic sports, and engage with a roster of exciting and immersive Team Canada partner activations. Team Canada FanFest will be hosted live by two-time Olympic champion Catriona Le May Doan, alongside Olympians Gilmore Junio (Calgary), Cynthia Appiah (Toronto), and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe (Montreal).

Beekeeping for Beginners.

Get decked out in some beekeeping gear and join ABC Bees owner and operator Eliese Watson for a hive tour of the bees here in The Confluence Garden. This two-hour workshop will cover all of the different aspects of setting up bee hives and how to care for them in an inner city location.

Take a 60-minute guided walking tour around the vibrant lands at The Confluence and learn some of the many histories of this significant place, including the history of the NWMP and their contribution to the birth of the city of Calgary, the railway, and the ways that many people have used this site since time immemorial. The walk is approximately 1.5 km and covers various terrains. Walks take place rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather. Recommended for ages 10 and up. Access to the cultural centre requires additional admission. *Excludes Aug. 16-18, 25.
