On February 10, opening festivities include martial art demonstrations, performances, a market with 50 booths, and lion dances! Celebrations will also take place on February 11, 17, and 18 so you can still experience the holiday even if you missed the kick-off. Join as Rogers Hometown Hockey makes its way to Canmore on February 10 and 11! The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour is the ultimate NHL® fan experience. You can expect a great weekend of free hockey-related activities, NHL Alumni appearances, music, and fun for the whole family! The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour is a season-long, touring hockey festival that visits a different Canadian Canadian Town each weekend over the NHL season. Join Ron MacLean and Tara Slone live on-site on Sunday, February 11 for the broadcast as they tell the stories that celebrate the hockey history and culture that put Canmore on Canada's hockey map, and stick around the catch the Calgary Flames take on the New York Islanders. Whales|Tohor? is an interactive experience housing one of the world's largest whale collections from the National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. This exhibition will immerse you into the biology diversity, evolution, and deep significance of whales to M?ori culture.

This month-long event will foster understanding, appreciation, and celebration of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. Experience educational activities, cultural displays, and storytelling sessions that connect both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. The celebrations will include: Full-Size Tipi: Step inside a tipi adorned with tapestries representing decades of Indigenous contributions to Calgary’s culture. Storytelling: Be moved by traditional stories from elders, delight in puppet shows by Indigenous authors, and explore virtual reality experiences by the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth. Artisan Market: Discover the vibrancy of Indigenous creativity at our artisan market on June 7th and 8th. Enjoy music, dance, and locally crafted goods. Educational Information Walls: Learn and engage with displays that provide deeper insights into Indigenous culture.
