Takes place August 11 & 12. As Calgary's premier water sport festival, the Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival draws over 1,850 competitors, 4,000 spectators, and an abundance of excitement and cultural experiences. Come and enjoy an afternoon listening to stories and some of Canada’s finest musicians. Storyteller/Musician Samantha Whelan Kotkas and her friends will entertain you and your children with musical interactive tales of child-accessible hikes in the Rocky Mountains. Teach your child about courage, unity, joyfulness, and caring in an afternoon of fun and adventure. An event for the whole family that you will want to be a part of. Takes place August 9 to 12. Discover Calgary's global cuisines from a mix of unique restaurants and beverage companies. Plus, get a taste of Calgary's great musicians. And shop at some of the most interesting marketplace vendors in the city! Buy sampling tickets for $1 each right at the festival and use them to sample any of the food or beverage menu items. Visit a variety of artisans, entrepreneurs, and interactive activities to add to the fun of the festival. Admission to the festival is free and includes a taste of Calgary's best musical acts. Join for an informative demonstration of massage for your baby! As you know, babies love your touch. The students are hosting an infant massage session where they will teach you massage techniques to use on your child, to help bond, sooth colic, relax, and love your baby! All caregivers are welcome.
