Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! Hike for Hospice Calgary is a 5-kilometre walk at Sikome Lake, Fish Creek Provincial Park. Each year, hundreds of people join for this fun family- and dog-friendly event, raising over $100,000 each Hike. Funds raised go toward Hospice Calgary’s services for people facing advanced illness, end-of-life, or life after the death of someone close to them. Registration is free for kids 5 and under. The POW! Parade of Wonders is a cosplay parade celebrating pop culture and creativity in Calgary’s downtown, and the official kickoff to the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo! Last year, over 23,000 people took in the event! Come watch to witness thousands of cosplayers in incredible fan costumes and say hello to a few of Calgary Expo’s special celebrity guests. It’s free to participate, but there is a catch … to walk in the parade you MUST be decked out in cosplay. To walk in the parade, be sure to register online (solo or as a group). The parade departs at 10:30am and parades from 8th Street down Stephen Avenue (8th Avenue) to conclude at Olympic Plaza at 11:15am.

West Ridge School Presents: Into the Woods Jr.
