Back for its 12th year, the Calgary European Film Festival highlights films from more than 25 countries including Germany, Iceland, Serbia, Spain and more. In-person screenings take place at Globe Cinema, with select films available to stream online as well.

Jubilations Dinner Theatre takes a ride on the Highway to the Danger Zone with their parody spin on the fighter jet franchise. Two classic movies made 30 years apart featuring a movie star that somehow looks like he hasn’t aged a single day… it’s just a musical theatre spoof waiting to happen.

Award-winning actor and director Frank Ferrante ignites his PBS, New York and London acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in this fast paced 90 minutes of hilarity. The two-act comedy consists of the funniest Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including “Hooray for Captain Spalding,” and “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.” The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style at Stage West (727 42 Avenue SE).

The Calgary Youth Orchestra will perform one of the most transcendental and profound masterpieces in the orchestral repertoire: Symphony No. 9 by Anton Bruckner. A devoutly religious man, Bruckner composed this spiritual symphony just before his death, and dedicated it to “God the Beloved.” The show will take place at Bella Concert Hall.
