Pysanky for Peace.

Pysanky for Peace is a Ukrainian artwork fundraiser intended to raise funds and support for Ukrainians who have been displaced or otherwise impacted by the war in Ukraine. A group of more than 20 local artists led by pysanka master Daena Diduck, will design 50 three dimensional eggs (in honour of Southcentre’s 50th anniversary this year), ranging from a few inches to nearly five feet tall. The eggs will be displayed at the mall as public art until the end of the month and will be available for purchase in exchange for a donation to WUNDERfund, a nonprofit that provides humanitarian aid to Ukrainians locally and abroad.

Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! After Earth Hour, share your participation with #EarthHour and #EarthHourYYC. Email programs@arusha.org with questions.

When sinister Uncle Andrew tricks the children into testing his magical theory about travelling to another world, Polly and Digory find themselves caught up in a series of events that not even Uncle Andrew himself could have predicted. There are guinea pigs, great forces of good and evil, and magical apples with the potential to heal sick mothers. Imagine Theatre invites you to join us as we travel back into C. S. Lewis' well loved book series, and explore how all the comings and goings between our world and the land of Narnia first began.
