The festival not only provides a stage for Alberta creators to showcase their work but is also a forum for an international exchange of ideas providing learning opportunities for professional and emerging artists and the public at large to find expression through animated objects.

It’s the 1960s, and things are getting groovy in the Forest of Arden. Shakespeare’s classic comedy of love and mistaken identity is given new life in this high-spirited adaptation featuring the music of The Beatles.

Pysanky for Peace is a Ukrainian artwork fundraiser intended to raise funds and support for Ukrainians who have been displaced or otherwise impacted by the war in Ukraine. A group of more than 20 local artists led by pysanka master Daena Diduck, will design 50 three dimensional eggs (in honour of Southcentre’s 50th anniversary this year), ranging from a few inches to nearly five feet tall. The eggs will be displayed at the mall as public art until the end of the month and will be available for purchase in exchange for a donation to WUNDERfund, a nonprofit that provides humanitarian aid to Ukrainians locally and abroad.
