Spooktacular Halloween Fun

Boo! The spookiest night of the year is almost upon us. Calgary hosts many events during Halloween for little ghosts and goblins. Here’s a list of what’s happening in and around Calgary. 


Throughout October; Enjoy the Harvest Pumpkin Hunts, Butterfield Acres Children’s Farm! Weekends for families and other groups; weekdays for schools. This event sells out; get your tickets early. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Details and order forms: 403-239-0638;  butterfieldacres.com

Every Saturday in October; Pumpkin & Scarecrow Festivals, Kayben Farms, Okotoks. There will be contests, wagon rides, pumpkin painting, corn maze and all the fun of the Sunshine Adventure Park and more! kayben.com

Every Saturday and Sunday in October, including Thanksgiving Monday, 10am to 5pm, Pumpkin Palooza at Cobb's Corn Maze & Family Fun Park. Pick from thousands of pumpkins for sale, pumpkin-themed specialty food items like pumpkin bread and pumpkin fudge. Carving kits available and carving stations on-site. Pink Pumpkins available to purchase, carve and leave behind for large on-site display. All proceeds benefit breast cancer research. October 3, 10 & 17; Friday Flashlight Nights, Calgary Corn Maze & Fun Farm. Check out all the amazing activities in the light and once the sun sets, challenge yourself to navigate through the huge corn maze in the dark. calgarycornmaze.com

October 4 to 5, 11 to 13 & 18 to 19; Autumn Pumpkin Festival, Calgary Corn Maze & Fun Farm. Take part in a ton of great activities: pumpkin decorating, pumpkin destruction, pumpkin picking and more!  calgarycornmaze.com

September 6 to October 13, Saturdays, Sundays & Holiday Monday, 11am to 6pm; Halloweekends at Calaway Park. Dress up and join the Boo Crew. Take a stroll down Hallo-Street - if your dare! October 23 to 26, 5:30 to 9pm; Ghouls’ Night Out, Heritage Park Historical Village. Heritage Park brings you four spooktacular nights of fun. Bring your little ghouls for a fun and safe night of Halloween festivities. Families can enjoy creepy carnival games, live theatre, crafts and activities all night long! October 24, 5:30 to 8pm; Dress Up Halloween, Kids Night Out, Color Me Mine. Paint a Halloween piece, watch a Halloween movie, and enjoy pizza, a craft and fun! For more information and prices: calgary.colormemine.com

October 25 to 26; TELUS Spark Presents, Monster Mash-Up! Proudly Brought to You by Calgary’s Child Magazine. There will be two days of Halloween programs and family fun! Come on down with the entire family and create Toy Mash-Ups, trick out your costumes or decorate pumpkins. If that's not enough, explore the Game Zone or join the Little Monster Party.
