After a long, chilly winter, kids and parents alike are ready to get silly, muddy and creative as they celebrate Spring. Put out the welcome mat for Mother Nature with these tips:
With the warm weather finally here, it’s time to get out and explore Calgary’s extensive park system. My family always seems happier and more relaxed after spending the day at the park.
Late Spring in Calgary is kind of perfect, isn’t it? Cool, crisp mornings are followed up with sweet, warm afternoons that are just made for spending outdoors. It’s also a great time of year because there’s so much to do that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg; all you need is some creativity, a bottle of sunscreen and a little bit of imagination.
Where did the school year go? I was just walking my daughter, Jessie, into her second grade classroom for her first day of school. Of course, I had my camera and camcorder. I’m always carrying one or the other, or both, to capture memories of her firsts. She probably won’t like it when I’m snapping pictures of her first date, but come to think of it, I probably won’t either. My wife, Mattie, might need to snap that one. For now I’m just looking ahead to summer.
