Nestled east of Macleod Trail and just south of 194 Avenue are South Calgary’s newest communities: Belmont, Pine Creek, and Sirocco. All three communities boast easy access to Stoney Trail, ample playground and natural spaces, and a variety of single-family homes for new residents.
Residents of these communities will find easy access to Stoney and Macleod Trail and a quick drive to established amenities in nearby Shawnessy Village and Silverado Shopping Centre. A short drive down Stoney Trail brings residents to Spruce Meadows for equestrian events and seasonal markets, and the Granary Road Farmer’s Market and Play & Learn Park. The City of Calgary has plans for a future Rec Centre located on 210 Avenue and an LRT station between 194 and 210 Avenues.
Belmont is the most developed of the three communities, and the farthest north. Nestled in between 194 and 210 Avenues, Belmont boasts completed parks and green spaces, including the Belmont Mounds of Fun Park, plans for two schools to be built, and areas zoned for future development of multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial lots. Streetside and Homes by Avi offer townhomes from the $250s. Homes by Avi offers duplexes from the low $300s. Cedarglen, Jayman, Morrison, Shane Homes, Trico Homes, and Homes by Avi offer single family homes from the mid $400s.
Pine Creek is just south of 210 Avenue SE and west of Macleod Trail, and boasts three parks, wetland, space zoned for one school, and a sports field. Shopping, groceries, and other recreational amenities are a short drive away in neighboring communities, with no plans for future commercial development. Pine Creek is focused entirely on single-family living, with front drive homes from the $450s or paired homes (duplex-style) from the $330s, available from builders Trico, Sterling, Shane Homes, and Morrison.
To the east of Pine Creek sits the related community Sirocco at Pine Creek, a 30-minute walk from the nearby Sirocco Golf Course. An elevated community, with ridge homes overlooking the golf course and many homes circling a scenic pond, Sirocco was designed with the natural environment in mind. Like Pine Creek, Sirocco features no plans for future commercial development or amenities, and is focused on single-family homes. NuVista and Truman offer paired homes from the $390s, while Morrison, Shane Homes, Trico, and Sterling offer front drive homes from the $470s.
Close to the robust amenities of South Calgary and featuring plans for expansive pathway systems, playgrounds, and schools, Belmont, Pine Creek, and Sirocco are all prime communities for new or young families.
